Axopar, a leader in adventure boating renowned for its innovative designs and exceptional performance, is taking a bold leap into the future with the introduction of AX/E, its exclusive electric sub-brand. Celebrating a decade of redefining maritime adventures, Axopar’s latest innovation brings the world its first fully electric adventure boats—the AX/E 22 and AX/E 25—blending cutting-edge electric propulsion with the brand’s signature style and performance. Learn more about the Axopar AX/E line.

A Legacy of Innovation Meets Electric Power

For 10 years, Axopar has set the benchmark for adventure boating with its seaworthy, high-performance vessels. With more than 6,000 boats sold worldwide, Axopar has established itself as a pioneer in the industry, making waves in more than 50 countries. Now, with the AX/E series, Axopar continues to lead, expanding its portfolio to include the first fully electric adventure boats in its lineup.

Developed in collaboration with Evoy, a Norwegian leader in electric propulsion systems, the AX/E 22 and AX/E 25 models showcase the synergy of state-of-the-art electric motors and Axopar’s acclaimed hull designs.

Cutting-Edge Performance and Design

The AX/E series brings electric boating into new territories with unmatched performance. The AX/E 22, equipped with a 120-plus horsepower motor, is perfect for coastal trips and day excursions, offering an exhilarating ride with a top speed of 36 knots and a range of more than 50 nautical miles at slower speeds. For those seeking even greater thrills, the AX/E 25 boasts a powerful 300-plus horsepower motor, reaching speeds in excess of 50 knots and a range of up to 60 nautical miles.

These models are more than just fast; they’re designed to handle various marine conditions with ease. The AX/E 25 has already made a name for itself by winning the 2023 Gussies Award for “Production Electric Boats: Up to 8m/26ft,” thanks to its exceptional hull design and efficiency. It’s one of the rare electric boats that can confidently venture beyond sheltered waters, maintaining comfort and performance even in challenging conditions.

Elegance Meets Functionality

Axopar’s commitment to quality and sophistication is evident in the AX/E series. Both the AX/E 22 and AX/E 25 feature exquisite craftsmanship, with meticulous finishing and premium materials such as teak, powder-painted profiles, and exclusive upholstery. The sleek, modern design is enhanced by carefully chosen color palettes in soft neutrals and earthy tones, adding a touch of elegance to their high-performance capabilities.

These boats offer a modular design, allowing for personalized configurations that blend luxury with functionality. Whether for coastal cruising or open-sea adventures, the AX/E series provides a customizable experience that caters to the needs of today’s discerning boaters.

Sustainability Without Compromise

The AX/E series represents Axopar’s commitment to environmental responsibility without sacrificing performance. The electric propulsion systems used in the AX/E models represent a major step forward in zero-emission boating. By integrating Evoy’s cutting-edge electric motors with Axopar’s proven hull designs, the AX/E series offers a powerful yet eco-friendly alternative to traditional internal combustion engines.

The AX/E boats are equipped with fast-charging technology, minimizing downtime between adventures and ensuring that boaters can spend more time enjoying the water. This innovation makes electric boating not only a viable option but a desirable one for those who prioritize both performance and environmental responsibility.

A New Era

The launch of the AX/E series at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 marks a significant milestone in the evolution of electric boating. These models are set to redefine expectations, proving that electric propulsion can deliver the high performance, luxury, and adventure that boaters crave.

Jan-Erik Viitala, head of innovation and founding partner of Axopar, reflects on this evolution. “Ten years ago, when we launched Axopar, our vision was to revolutionize the market with something genuinely unique,” says Viitala. “With AX/E, we’re advancing that mission by offering a new, sustainable way to experience the water, without compromise. AX/E goes beyond electric propulsion; it’s about creating lasting memories and setting the course for the future of electric boating. Thanks to our collaboration with Evoy, we’ve elevated this vision, seamlessly merging high-performance with sustainability to deliver the best of both worlds.”

With the AX/E series, Axopar is not just setting a new standard in electric boating; it’s paving the way for a future where performance and sustainability coexist in perfect harmony. These models promise to redefine the experience of electric boating, offering a special blend of performance, luxury, and environmental responsibility.
