The prestigious Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023 is about to witness a remarkable moment in the world of luxury yachting. Making its much-anticipated U.S. debut is the 80 Sunreef Power Eco, an electric luxury catamaran that represents the pinnacle of eco-friendly boating. With a name inspired by the Norse sun goddess, this stunning vessel is set to redefine the standards of sustainability and opulence on the water.

Green Technology Revolution

At the heart of the 80 Sunreef Power Eco (78’ 6”, LOA, 39’ 4” beam) lies a groundbreaking green technology developed in-house by Sunreef Yachts. This technology not only propels the yacht but also powers it with renewable energy. The catamaran features composite-integrated solar panels that are seamlessly incorporated into the hulls, bimini roof, and superstructure, a remarkable innovation that makes her the world’s most advanced electric luxury yacht.

These solar panels, often referred to as the “solar skin” of the yacht, harness the sun’s energy with exceptional efficiency. This not only reduces the carbon footprint of the vessel but also ensures a nearly silent and emission-free cruising experience, allowing passengers to connect with nature without any interference from noisy engines or harmful emissions.

Innovative Battery Technology

One of the most significant advancements in the 80 Sunreef Power Eco is its custom-engineered battery banks. These batteries are a testament to Sunreef Yachts’ commitment to sustainability. Not only do they provide an extended range for the yacht, but they are also remarkably lightweight, weighing in at less than 5.2 kg per kWh. This makes them approximately 30 percent lighter than conventional systems commonly used in the yachting world.

With a 990 kWh battery bank, this innovative catamaran boasts the largest battery capacity in its category. This impressive energy storage ensures that guests can enjoy extended journeys on the open water, free from the worry of depleting energy reserves.

Luxury in Harmony with Nature

The 80 Sunreef Power Eco is not only an ecological marvel but also a sanctuary of comfort and style. Designed to accommodate up to eight guests, the catamaran features a custom layout that provides the utmost in opulence and relaxation. The interiors of the Sól are bathed in natural light, creating a serene ambience that connects passengers with the beauty of their surroundings.

Every detail of the catamaran’s interior design has been carefully considered, from the bright finishing materials to the spacious living areas that encompass a generous 3,831 square feet of space. This blend of luxury and eco-consciousness demonstrates that it’s possible to indulge in opulence while treading lightly on the planet.

The revolutionary 80 Sunreef Power Eco is a testament to the fact that in the world of yachting, it’s possible to navigate the seas in style while preserving the natural beauty that makes these experiences truly unforgettable.
